The query runs against NCBI E-utilities straight from your browser; no file leaves your machine.

This builds the co-author portion of a COA disclosure — the part
that is most tedious by hand. It does not cover co-editors, co-PIs, or
graduate advisors/advisees, and it only sees work indexed in PubMed. Names are
grouped by last name + initials, so two different people who share both may be
merged and one person who published under different initials may be split — skim
the list before you submit it. Affiliation and date come from the most recent
shared paper. Data: NCBI E-utilities; PubMed coverage is
biomedical-leaning and dates are publication dates. Fetched papers are cached
in your browser (IndexedDB) and reused on later runs — clear it
from the Advanced panel.
NSF COA (.xlsx) fills Table 4 of the official NSF Collaborators & Other Affiliations template; DOE Collaborators (.xlsx) fills the Collaborators sheet of the DOE Office of Science template (relationship = “co-author”, the PI taken from the author box). Both are starting points — fill the remaining tables/columns (institutions, the other relationship types) and verify before submitting; NSF requires the unaltered template format. The heatmap shows, for the ten most frequent co-authors, how many papers you shared each quarter (hover a square for the count); quarters need a month in the PubMed date, so year-only papers are omitted from it.
